Redesign of public pages

We just had the first snow in Cologne (Germany). And with the first snow flakes, we have finally pushed our most recent redesign onto our servers - just in time for the intense pre-christmas season. If you are expecting tons of new and polished features, we have to disappoint you. But stay tuned, there is a lot in the pipeline for the remaining weeks till 2011. This update is about some important changes to the general page layout and its improvements to usability.

New navigation
The most obvious change happened to the global navigation. The main reason for this change was to further separate the global page elements from the actual profile. So when you or someone else is visiting a musician profile, the main focus should stay on the profile itself. For this purpose we have shrunk the navigation, moved it farther away from the page contents and changed the color scheme to a less obtrusive selection of colors.

Profile specific navigation
To further improve profiles on COMUSICO, we introduced profile specific navigations. These navigations should make it easier to find the data one is looking for. And the highlighted contact button should increase interaction between profile owners and visitors / potential partners.

New contact page
The contact page for musicians, ensembles and users was extended by a new contact form. It allows all users, no matter if they are members or guests, to send the profile owner a short message. This should facilitate the communication between the various interest groups and lower the barrier for first contact (Here we need feedback the most, as we want to improve this feature).

As always, we would love to hear from you. We hope to answer our customers wishes, but would love to get some feedback regarding questions, ideas and criticism. Feel free to post a comment, send us a message, or get in contact via skype or phone.
