Mario Haering was born November 25th 1989 in Hanover. At the age of 3 he already made his first experiences on the violin and the piano. In 1994, he started with piano lessons. From 2007 until 2008 he became a student of Prof. Fabio Bidini in the “Julius Stern Institute” at the “Universitaet der Kuenste Berlin (UdK)” (until 2008). After his baccalaureate 2009 at the Georg-Friedrich-Haendel-School in Berlin, he began his regular studies at the “Musikhochschule Hannover (HMT) with Prof. Karl-Heinz Kaemmerling.
Mario looks back at a range of prizes. From 1995 up to date he won 16 first prizes, primarily as a soloist, but also in chamber music, at “Jugend Musiziert” (mostly with maximum points in all levels as well as additional special prizes) and at the “International Steinway Competition” in Berlin (in all possible age categories, including special prizes). Since 2006, Mario is scholarship holder of the “Deutsche Stiftung Musikleben” (“Carl-Heinz Illies-Scholarship” in the years 2006 and 2007, “Gerd Bucerius Scholarship” in 2008).

He appeared in important festivals such as the Braunschweig Classix Festival (2007), the Schwetzinger Festspiele (2009, broadcasted live), the International Steinway Festival (2006) and the Schleswig-Holstein Music Festival (2009). From 2005 up to date Mario has participated in numerous master classes (e.g. with Paul Badura-Skoda, Pascal Devoyon, Anatol Ugorski, Walter Blankenheim and Karl-Heinz Kaemmerling).
Since his orchestral debut with the Berlin Symphony Orchestra (2003, in the great hall of the Philharmonie Berlin with Shostakovich’s Piano Concerto No. 2) further concerts followed: Haydn’s D Major Piano Concerto (in the Philharmonie Berlin), Bach’s F Minor Harpsichord Concerto (in Tokyo, Japan), Beethoven’s 1st Piano Concerto (in the Philharmonie Berlin, the UdK Berlin and in Helsinki, Finland), Liszt’s 1st Piano Concerto (in the Philharmonie Berlin, in the Tanner Denkfabrik Lindau and the Philharmonie Konstanz) and Rachmaninoff’s 2nd Piano Concerto (in the Philharmonie Berlin) were performed with various important orchestras such as the Southwest German Philharmonic Orchestra Konstanz.
