Frederik was born in Berlin in 1985.
He recieved his first trumpet lessons by Gerhard Greif (Deutsche Oper Berlin) before he got a scholarship in 2002 to study at the Conservatory of Berlin as a junior student with Prof. Robert Platt at the Julius-Stern-Institute.
Before he joined the trumpet class of Prof. Uwe Köller at Essen in 2006 he studied in Berlin with Prof. Konradin Groth.
Frederik played in a lot of solo- and chamber music concerts but he also is an experienced orchestra player.
He played e.g. with the Rias Youth Orchestra, the Young Cologne Philharmonics, the National Young Orchestra of Germany, the Orchestra of the Conservatory in Berlin, the Orchestra of Bayreuth and at the Opera houses in Berlin.
