Musician
Born in a family of non-musicians, ELENA PICCIONE VALLESE starts playing the piano at the age of 7, under the guide of Prof. Stefania Tigossi. Besides she studies chamber music with Prof. Massimiliano Damerini and takes her Bachelor Degree at 18 years old at Conservatorio "N. Paganini" in Genoa. She took masterclasses with Livia Rév, Eugene Skovorodnikov, Bruno Canino e Aldo Ciccolini. She starts playing in front of the audience at the age of seven as a soloist and in chamber groups. At 12 years old she gives her first solo recital. She has been laureate of many national and international competitions, among others, "Adesso Musica" of Savona (2003) where she gets also the special award for the best interpretation during the final concert. She collaborated with contemporary composers Piano Briasco and Massimo Lauricella. She has got a large repertoire ranging from baroque to contemporary music, including the complete mazurkas by Chopin (2003) and the complete trios by Mozart (2007). She played in important venues and festivals in Italy : Sala Ademollo and Palazzo Sani in Lucca, Journée Mondiale de la Philosophie "UNESCO 2005", Lions International, Associazione Musicale "G. Rossini" of Valleggia, Associazione Amici del Carlo Felice, Liguria Eventi and Associazione Amici del Conservatorio Paganini in Genoa, Associazione Dino Ciani, Villa Medici Giulini and Musarte Festival in Milan, Camogli Festival, “Dino Ciani” International Festival in Stresa, InAlassio Festival, A.Gi.Mus, Universitat Mozarteum in Salzburg, DOK Centrum in Delft and "Full Moon Concerts " in the WMDC of Rotterdam. In 2011 she played for the International Festival “Dino Ciani” in Stresa and for the Ciani Concerts in Milan, in collaboration with the Venice Biennale. She studies and plays in duo with the pianist Giovanni Alvino.
