Andrey Dubov
was born in Moscow, in 1987. He started playing the piano at the age of 4.
In 1997 he became a prize winner of the International piano festival of young pianists in Poland. He was a prize winner in the International piano competition «Classical heritage» in Moscow, 2004.
In 2006 Andrey Dubov finished the Gnessins Music School (College) (under the class of L.Grigorieva). In 2011 he graduated from the Russian State Gnessins Academy of Music. Now he is the 1st year postgraduated student in Gnessins academy.(class of prof. S. Senkov)
In December, 2006 Andrey Dubov won the First All-Russian Piano Competition in Ruza (Russia). In 2008 he took the first place and the gold medal in «Delphic Games» (Novosibirsk, Russia). In 2010 Andrey Dubov won “The Festival of romantic music” in Moscow (Russia). Andrey Dubov is the 2nd prize winner in the 23rd International Piano Competition in Epinal (France, 2011). Also he took part in the 14th International Tchaikovsky competition (Russia, 2011).
Andrey Dubov took master-classes with professor D. Bashkirov (Russia/Spain/Italy), professor V. Viardo (USA), professor V. Mischuk (Russia/Spain).
Andrey Dubov often gives concerts in Moscow, Saint-Petersburg, Brjansk, Kolomna, Tver and many other Russian cities. 16/09/2007 he played a recital in Düsseldorf (Germany). The program of this recital was: three Transcendental Etudes by Liszt, Sonata #7 (D-dur) by Beethoven, “Night on the Bald mountain” by Mussorgsky - Khudoley, ”Symphonic etudes” by Schumann, Olav Trigvasson by Grieg and three etudes by Chopin.
In 2008 Andrey Dubov performed all the etudes by Chopin and Rachmaninoff’s “Rhapsody on the theme by Paganini” in Moscow. In 2008 year Andrey also played with Novosibirsky, Astrachansky, Mariinsky, orchestras; gave a recital in the Smoll hall of Saint-Petersburg’s Philarmony, in the Concert hall of Mariinsky theatre (Saint-Petersburg), gave a recital in the Hungarian embassy, where he performed 6 etudes by Liszt, sonatas by Mozart and Schubert and three etudes-taubleaux by Rachmaninov; he took a part in Concert – meeting of students and teachers of Cannes Musical Conservatory (France) and Russian Gnessin Music Academy etc. In 2009 Andrey Dubov has performed the 1st concerto (b-moll) by Tchaikovsky with the Hermitage (“Camerata”) orchestra, St.-Petersburg. In 2010 he played concerts in different cities of Italy, such as Gardone-Val-Trompia, Abano, Altavilla Vicentina, Badia Polesine, Padova (“Sala dei Giganti – Palazzo Liviano”). 2010-08-03 Andrey Dubov also played in the Great hall of Moscow Conservatory with orchestra. In 2011 pianist played with Bratislava National Philarmonic orchestra, Ivanovo Philarmonic orchestra, with Bryansk Philarmonic orchestra, with Moscow Radio and Television Symphony orchestra etc.
In addition to his performing as a pianist, Andrey Dubov also makes his own arrangements.
Andrey Dubov is the winner of the award of the president of Russian Federation (2009). Winner of the Gnessins award and the student of the year in Russian State Gnessins Academy of Music (2009). The hero of encyclopedia “Exceptional children is the future of Russia” (2010).
